- I'm running MacOS 7.1 via ShapeShifter with a Quadra ROM and a USRobotics
- 28.800 Fax/Modem to a dial-up TCP connection (say that three times fast
- :^) and currently can only >>receive<< video and audio. Frame rate is very
- low, and when audio arrives video slooows down even more... In the Cuseeme
- FAQs is stated that 28.800 is the bare minimum for transmission, and of
- course if you'd be using a PowerMac that would help tremendously...
- Someone else posted here that he's using the Quikcam with his Emplant
- emulation, but he said it was a serial (PC) version of the QCam, so maybe
- the version you have (SCSI, Appletalk, ??) won't work; have you tried?
- Since I don't have a grafx card for my A4000 screen refresh is slow, so
- I've been treating this CUseeme stuff more as a curiosity than a tool,
- however, I look forward to trying the serial version of the QuickCam or
- some other digitizer in order to start truly taking advantage of it... (at
- least it has served me to make some PC and Mac users wet their pants when
- they see what can be done with a mere 18Mb RAM and a A4000 :^)
- BTW, do you have AmiTCP running? Have you tried the Amiga version of CUSeeme?
